Third Thursday is an informal community art night where spaces in the neighborhoods of the near southside of Fort Worth open their doors to feature artwork from 6-9pm on the third Thursday of the month, beginning July 2018. Plans are to continue each month through October 2018, with a new season of Third Thursday beginning each Spring.
This month we will be featuring the work of Snakehand Craft!
Snakehand Craft is run by local artisan, Jamie Myers. She makes one of a kind baubles, jars, vases and other earthy stoneware. Each piece is hand formed and created with care and purpose. Authentic, soulful forms with dark clay bodies, that resonate in the palm of your hand. Tiny vessels that are meant to be nestled on your favorite bookshelf, or tucked away on a nook. If you're looking for more practical items, she also makes wheel thrown bowls, planters and all sorts of tumblers that are perfect for holding coffee, tea, or your favorite cocktail.
